Raiganj Thana police on Saturday morning recovered the body of an auto-van driver from the vicinity of a brick kiln in Raghunathpur village of Raiganj upazila in Sirajganj district.

The deceased was identified as Munjil Sheikh, 40, son of late Asab Ali of the Raghunathpur village.

K M Rabiul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Solongga thana said, miscreants might have been taken his auto-van away after killing him on Friday night.

Being informed by locals on the following morning, police reached to the spot and recovered his body tied with rope.

Later, the body was sent to Sirajganj General Hospital Morgue for autopsy. A case was lodged with the respective police station in this connection.
