Jamuna Bridge Western Toll Plaza

Police of Jamuna Bridge western thana on Thursday morning recovered the body of an unidentified elderly man age about 55 from the Island of the Dhaka-Uttaranchal (North Bengal) highway nearby Jamuna Bridge western Toll Plaza in Sirajganj.

Police said, locals first found the body lying on the island and informed the matter to police. Later police reached to the spot and recovered the body. The reason behind the death could not be known immediately.

Police suspected that, the ill fated man might have been killed by miscreants and later the body was left on the island.

“Is it murder or accident, will be known after getting the postmortem report,” said Anarul Islam, Officer in Charge of the western police station.
