Shah Rukh Khan, the Bollywood Badshah, is set to appear in a completely new avatar.

This time, he’s stepping into the shoes of a ruthless mafia kingpin with grey hair in his upcoming film King. The official teaser for this film was released on the occasion of Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday, sparking excitement amongst his massive fan base. The teaser promises an unprecedented experience, suggesting that King will bring a fresh perspective to Hindi action films.

A TALE OF GURU AND DISCIPLE:

This movie is not just an action flick; it’s a gripping gangster thriller wrapped in crime, revenge, and a fascinating guru-disciple relationship. Although the plot details have been kept under wraps, reports suggest that Shah Rukh Khan plays a cold-blooded assassin and mercenary who trains his disciple – none other than his real-life daughter, Suhana Khan. This marks Suhana’s debut on the big screen.

What’s in the Teaser?

In the teaser, Shah Rukh Khan delivers a chilling line that sets the tone for the film: “How many kills have I made? I’ve lost count. They weren’t good people, nor bad. I never asked. I just saw the look in their eyes that it was their last breath… I’m not afraid. I’m terror itself.”

Shah Rukh’s new look is eye-catching, with grey-white hair, a sharp beard, and a rugged body covered in tattoos, as he seems to have reinvented himself for the action genre. He’s seen in the teaser carrying out a relentless killing spree, wielding a King of Hearts playing card as his symbolic weapon.

DIRECTOR AND CAST:

The film is directed by action maestro Siddharth Anand, who previously collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan on the blockbuster Pathaan. Alongside Shah Rukh and Suhana, the movie will feature a stellar ensemble cast, including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma, Raghav Juyal, Rani Mukerji, and Anil Kapoor.

ANTICIPATION BUILDS:

Although the international shooting schedule and locations remain a closely guarded secret, it is expected that King will be released in 2026. The film is being produced under Shah Rukh Khan’s own Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
