Kazipur Correspondent:

A boy was killed in a road accident at Shyampur Baza’ar area on the Kazipur-Dhunot regional road in Kazipur upazila of Sirajganj district on Monday.

Centering the incident, agitating people of the area set the bus on fire and torched it.

The deceased was identified as Kawsar Ali, 15, son of Abul Kashem of Manikpatol village in the upazila.

Police and local witnesses said that, the accident took place at 11:00am, when a bus of Ankhi Paribahan hit him from behind, while he was going to Sonamukhi Baza’ar with a bicycle leaving him dead on the spot.

After the incident, agitating people intercepted the bus and set that on fire.

On information, police and fire fighters reached to the spot and brought the situation under control.

Police also recovered the body and sent it to Shaheed M Monsur Ali Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.

A case was lodged with the respective police station in this connection.
