Dr Ahmed Abu Saleh, the Dean of the Faculty of Basic Science and Paraclinical Science at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), has passed away.

He breathed his last at 9:10am on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at the ICU of BSMMU in Dhaka. He was suffering from a brain tumor and had undergone surgery two months ago.

Ashraful Islam, administrative officer of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, confirmed his death.

Ahmed Abu Saleh left behind his wife, a son, and a daughter to mourn his death.

His first namaj-e-janaza will be held at BSMMU mosque premises after johr prayer. He will be buried at his village home in Moulvibazar.

Ahmed Abu Saleh was a respected and beloved medical figure known for his dedication and student-friendly approach.
