An individual has been accused of raping two six-year-old girls, leading to a police case at Kahaloo upazila in Bogura district.

The accused individual is Nur Islam, resident of a housing project in Paikar union in the upazila.

According to case records, the two children were playing outside their home when Nur Islam, a resident of the project, lured them into his house with the promise of snacks.

There, he allegedly raped them.

On Thursday, one of the alleged victims came down with a fever while the other started bleeding, alerting their families to the assault.

Nur fled the area after the incident came to light.

Kahaloo Police Station Officer-in-charge confirmed the incident and said that police took the children to victim support centre at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination on Friday.

A case has been filed against Nur by victims’ families and efforts are ongoing to arrest him, the OC said.
