Former parliament member for Sirajganj-2 constituency (Sirajganj Sadar and Kamarkhanda) and President of District BNP Rumana Mahmud urged the female voters, including those, who are new voters for the upcoming national parliament election, to vote for ‘Paddy Sheaf’ with the aim to restore the rights of people again in the soil of Bangladesh.

She said, if you cast your votes for ‘Paddy sheaf’, you will be able to harvest new crops for future. People of the country lost their voting rights for the last 16 years due to autocracy rules of the Awami League government led by Sheikh Hasina. But now, time has returned to apply our voting rights as per our desires. So, all should be united to cast our votes on ‘Paddy Sheaf’.

She came up with the remarks, while addressing a rally of District Mohila Dal at Mirpur School ground in the town on Sunday afternoon.

The programme was presided over by Sabina Yeasmin Hasi, President of Sirajganj District Mohila Dal, while General Secretary Elema Begum and District BNP Joint General Secretary Munshi Jahed Alam moderated the programme.

Saidur Rahman Bachchu, member of the BNP Central Executive Committee and General Secretary of the district BNP said, “We should work together being united to snatch victory for the paddy sheaf to implement the 31-point guidelines given by the party acting chairperson Tarique Rahman. We have to ensure the rights of people.”

District Mohila Dal Vice-President Md. Mary Begum, Joint General Secretary Salma Khan, Organizing Secretary Jyotsna Mandal and other leaders also spoke at the event as special guests.
