“Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal is ready to resist banned organization terrorist Chhatra League to ensure the safety of students and the public across the country,” said Jatiotabadi Chatradal general secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir in a post on his verified Facebook page on Thursday.

He said “The police or government forces did not kill all of the more than 2,000 freedom-loving people who were martyred in the mass uprising of students and the public in July-August. Cadres of the banned terrorist organization Chhatra League murdered countless people with firearms publicly. During the mass uprising of July-August, Chhatra League played the role of butcher and executioner on the orders of the fascist fugitive murderer Hasina. Even before the genocide, all the banned militant organizations combined did not kill as many people as the Chhatra League had committed, starting with Biswajit and Abrar.”

The Chatradal secretary has demanded the immediate arrest of every terrorist of Chhatra League who attacked the student community in July-August.

He said, “Its the responsibility of the government to prevent all the programs and secret activities of the banned organization. It is also the responsibility of the government to ensure the safety of the students and the public from the banned organization Chhatra League. If the government fails to fulfill its responsibility, the students and the public will take to the streets again like in July-August to resist Chhatra League.”

He further said Chatradal is committed to preserving the success of the mass uprising achieved at the cost of the blood of thousands of martyrs including Shaheed Abu Sayeed, Wasim Akram, Mugdho, Rabbi, Riya Gop, and Riday Tarua.

“We are ready to accept any sacrifice inspired by the sacrifice of the brave martyrs of July-August, InshaAllah,” he added.
