Cox’s Bazar Correspondent:

Miscreants slaughtered a couple in their sleep in Cox’s Bazar’s Ramu upazila early Wednesday.

The deceased were Nur Mohammad, 28, and his wife Rubi Akter, 19, Ramu Police Station OC Abu Taher Dewan confirmed.

The incident happened at about 3am Boughat Uporer Khil area.

Eidgor Union Parishad chairman Firoz Bhutto said, “We have heard that a man and his wife were murdered at Boughat Uporer Khil area under ward number 6.”

“Rubi Akter’s family is being promoted as Rohingyas who came ages ago and used to live here,” OC Abu Taher said.
