Detective Branch (DB) office will not have any Aaynaghar, there will not be any dinning room for celebraties said, Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) Rezaul Karim Mallik.

He said this at the ‘meet the press’ event organized at Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media center on Saturday afternoon. Rezaul Karim Mallick officially spoke to reporters for the first time after taking charge as Additional Commissioner of DB.

Additional Commissioner said, “I want to say clearly, there will be no Aaynaghar in the office of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.  The tainted chapter of DB will end and it will be sanctified, where people will get justice.” He further said, “There will be no guest house or hangout spot for heroes and heroines or celebrities, nor will there be any dinning room in DB for them.”

Stating that DB is not above accountability, Additional Commissioner said, “I am also not above accountability. As long as I serve as the head of DB, I will serve with justice, integrity and professionalism.”

Additional Commissioner Rezaul Karim Mallick also said that any type of injustice and corruption will not be tolerated in DB.

Rezaul Karim Mallik also said that along with the police, the members of the DB are performing their duties in white clothes for the security of various temples and pujamandap during Durga Puja.’
