Md. Nazrul Islam, Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Sirajganj inspected the Enayetpur Police Station (PS) and Betil Union Land Office in Chowhali Upazila of Sirajganj district on Tuesday (June 24) morning.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Nazrul Islam inquired about the various damages of the police station during the July-August movement. When the issue of insufficiency of pure water was mentioned in the police station, the DC asked the UNO of Chowhali upazila to take necessary steps immediately to resolve the crisis.
After inspecting the police station, the DC visited Betil Union Land Office located under Enayetpur thana in Chowhali Upazila of the district.
The DC also expressed satisfaction after watching the beauty and good working atmosphere of that office.
During his visit, the DC instructed concerned officials to provide rapid services to the service seekers without any harassment and malpractice and keep the registrar up to date.
After visiting the office, DC told the reporters that, “Betil Union Land Office is the most beautiful and organized among all the land offices in the district that impressed me. I believe, all of the offices should follow such styles including planned infrastructure, cleanliness and other aspects to ensure good working atmosphere.”
He also planted a coconut tree sapling there to commemorate his arrival and protect the environment.
Senior officials of the upazila and district administrations including UNO Mostafizur Rahman companied him at that period.
