A meeting was held between Deputy Inspector General of Highway Police (DIG, West) Abul Kalam Azad and drivers of CNG, auto-rickshaws, vans, Lagunas, trucks and microbuses at Hatikumrul roundabout under Solonga thana in Sirajganj district on Tuesday evening.

In the meeting, DIG Abul Kalam Azad emphasized on the importance of drivers using bylanes, controlling speed and regular vehicle maintenance on the highway. In addition, he wanted to know if the drivers had any problems while traveling on the road and discussed the matter.

After the meeting, he participated in a special welfare meeting with the officers and members on duty at the Hatikumrul Highway Police Station premises.

Md. Shahid Ullah (promoted to the post of Additional DIG), Superintendent of Police in Highway Police, Bogura circle and Abdur Rouf, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station among others were also present at the event.
