Senior lawyer Ehsanul Haque Samaji has been appointed as public prosecutor (PP) of Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge Court.

A notification in this regard, signed by deputy solicitor Sana Mohammad Maruf Hossain, was sent to Dhaka District Magistrate on Tuesday (August 27).

The appointment of Md Abdullah Abu as Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor was canceled, the notification added.

Ehsanul Haque Samaji served as the Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor and the Public Prosecutor of the Anti-Corruption Commission during the caretaker government from 2007 to 2009.
