Among the Eid releases, “Borbaad”, “Daagi”, and “Jongli” have generated the most buzz. Even after four weeks in theatres, these films continue to draw attention.

Recently the production houses behind the Eid films have shared updates on their gross earnings through social media.

“Borbaad”, currently showing in 72 theatres across both single screens and multiplexes, is leading the box office collections.

According to Shahrin Akter Sumi, producer of “Borbaad” under Real Energy Production, the film has grossed Tk 62.57 crore within 25 days of its release.

Meanwhile, Shahriar Shakil, one of the producers of “Daagi”, mentioned on social media that the film has earned over Tk 7 crore.

Director M Raahim also posted on Facebook, stating that “Jongli” has amassed a multiplex gross collection of Tk 2.31 crore after 26 days.

In its fourth week, the Shakib Khan starrer “Borbaad” is being screened 39 times across seven branches of Star Cineplex, up from 35 shows in the previous week. Afran Nisho’s “Daagi” is running 18 shows across six branches, while Siam’s “Jongli” is being screened 23 times.

At multiplexes, “Borbaad” is securing seven shows per day due to strong audience demand, compared to three shows for “Jongli” and two for “Daagi”.
