This Eid-ul-Fitr, in addition to star-studded films, audiences can look forward to exciting web content, as major OTT platforms have curated special projects for the festive season. From intense dramas to light-hearted romantic comedies, the list includes “Amalnama” by Raihan Rafi, “Jimmi” by Ashfaque Nipun, and “How Sweet” by Kajal Arefin Ome, among others.

The Chorki original film “Amalnama”, directed by Raihan Rafi, is set to hit the platform on Thursday. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Zahid Hasan, Sarika Subrin, Kamruzzaman Kamu, Tama Mirza, Gazi Rakayet, and others. The screenplay, based on a story by Raihan Rafi, was co-written by Raihan Rafi and SM Nazrul Islam.

For those who enjoy romantic comedies, “How Sweet” is set to release on the day of Eid on the OTT platform Bongo. Directed by Kajal Arefin Ome, the film features Ziaul Faruq Apurba and Tasnia Farin in lead roles, with Pavel, Sushama Sarker, and Arfan Mredha Shiblu playing supporting characters.

Another highly anticipated release is “Jimmi”, which will premiere on Hoichoi on March 28. Directed by Ashfaque Nipun, the series stars Jaya Ahsan in the role of a low-ranking government employee who hasn’t been promoted in ten years.

The storyline revolves around her struggles with financial hardship and the moral dilemma she faces after discovering a box full of money in her office storeroom. This unexpected finding entangles her in a web of greed and conflict.

In addition to these releases, “Allen Swapan 2”, directed by Shihab Shaheen and starring Nasir Uddin Khan, is also expected to premiere during Eid, adding more excitement to the festive lineup.
