Bangladesh Railways will start the sale of train tickets for the Eid-ul-Fitr journey from March 3.

Sale of return tickets will start on March 23, the railway authorities said today. Railways will add special trains to ensure a smooth Eid journey. Trains are one of the cheapest and safest modes of transport in Bangladesh. There are relatively fewer train accidents compared to accidents on roads and waterways.

Muslims in Bangladesh are expected to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on either March 19 or 20, depending on the moon’s sighting.
