Pabna Correspondent:

An elderly woman committed suicide at Chatmohar upazila in Pabna district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Rofeza Khatun, 65, a resident of Mostalipur village under Haripur union in the upazila. Rofeza was a mentally unstable person.

According to locals, Rofeza committed suicide by stabbing herself when she was alone in the house.

Earlier, Rofeza tried to commit suicide several times, as she was mentally unstable.

Chatmohar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Monjurul Alam confirmed the incident.
