BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has said that the upcoming national election must be held by December.

He made the call during a rally titled “Establishing the Political Rights of the Youth”, jointly organised by Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, and Swechchhasebak Dal in front of the BNP’s central office at Nayapaltan in the capital.

Reiterating his demand, he said, “The election must be held by December. It has to take place within December.”

He also urged party leaders to begin preparations for the national polls and reach out to the people, saying “The source of BNP’s power is the people.”

He directed his party leaders to go to people and win their hearts.
