Former Awami League lawmaker from the Jhenaidah-2 constituency Tahjib Alam Siddique has been placed on a three-day remand in connection with two separate murder cases.

Senior Judicial Magistrate in Dhaka Rumana Afroz passed the order on Friday noon (November 8).

On Thursday night, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested him from Nabinagar area, on the outskirts of Dhaka.

Tahjib was shown arrested in connection with three separate cases of vandalism, arson, explosive possession and murder with Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station on August 19, 24 and 27 last.
