Ahsan Ullah, adviser to former Bangladesh Bank Governor Ahsan H Mansur, was forced out of the central bank after a group of officials formed a “mob” and removed him from the premises.
The incident took place around 3pm today (25 February) in front of the former governor.
At the time, Additional Director Touhidul Islam led efforts to push Ahsan Ullah into a vehicle, holding him by the neck.
Executive Director Sarwar Hossain, Director Naushad Mostafa, and Additional Director Tanvir were present, along with around 30 central bank officials.
