Ex-MP Henry, her husband Labu placed on 5-day fresh remand

A court in Sirajganj on Tuesday placed former Parliament Member for Sirajganj-2 (Sadar and Kamarkhanda) Constituency Jannat Ara Talukder Henry and her husband former Zilla Parishad Chairman Shamim Talukder Labu on a fresh five-day remand in a case filed for killing Jubo Dal activist Abdul Latif during the Anti-discrimination Student Movement.

Russel Mahmud, Judge of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court in Sirajganj issued to the order at around 3:00pm on Tuesday, while police produced the duo before the court along with an appeal for a-10 day remand.

At that time, the lawyers of the accused also submitted petition seeking bail. But the court denied the bail and issued order to send them in jail along with granting the remand for five days.

On the other hand, another accused Abu Musa, who was arrested few days ago, in the Sohanur Rahman Ranju killing case was shown full arrested at that time.
