Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-12 forces on Wednesday arrested Selim Sarker, Personal Assistant (PS) of former Parliament Member for Sirajganj-6 constituency Momin Mandal from Gabtali area under Fatullah police station in Narayanganj district in a case filed over killing college student Shihab, Siam and Yeahia during the Students-Public Movement.

The arrested Selim Sarker, 46, is son of Abdur Razzaque of Shernagor Kamarpara village in Belkuchi upazila and also former PS of Ex-MP Momin Mandal.

M Abul Hashem Sabuj, Company Commander of RAB-12 confirmed the matter to The Daily Sky on Thursday evening through a press briefing.

According to the press release, a procession was brought out by the Anti-quota protesters on August 4. When the procession reached to Al-Hera Market, miscreants opened fire on the demonstrators leaving Shihab, Siam and Yeahia bullet hit injuries. The injured were taken to Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College and Hospital, where the on duty doctors declared them dead.

After the incident, three cases were filed. Selim was one of the accused. The arrested was handed over to the Enayetpur thana police on Thursday.
