A case was lodged with Sirajganj Sadar police station accusing 51 identified persons including former MP and central Awami League leader Dr. Habib-e-Millat Munna and Jannat Ara Talukder Henry for attacking, vandalizing, looting and exploding cocktail at the house of a leader of Gana Adhikar Parishad in Sirajganj.

Another 100 to 150 unidentified people were also made accused in the case additionally.

Abdur Rahim, Joint Convener of Gana Adhikar Parishad, Sirajganj District Unit filed the case on Tuesday at around 10:30pm.

The plaintiff of the case in his statement said that, leaders and activists of Awami League carried out attack, vandalism and ransacked valuable goods from his house on December 31, 2023. At that time, the attackers exploded cocktail to create panic among the people of surrounding areas. About Tk 5 lakh was damaged due to the attack. Not only that, he was also harassed in false case. But, he was not able to file any case due to power of Awami League government.

Mokhlesur Rahman, Officer in Charge of Sadar thana told that, the case was lodged accusing many Awami League leaders and activists. Of them, Habib-e-Millat Munna, Jannat Ara Talukder Henry, Hossain Ali Hasan, Abdus Samad Talukder, Syed Abdur Rauf Mukta, Helal Uddin and Riaz Uddin are mentionable.
