BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas said excuses cannot be made to postpone the election process.

“The thoughts, consciousness, and opinions of one person will be imposed on the shoulders of another- that’s not expectable,” he said.

He came to see the condition of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam at the United Hospital in the capital on Tuesday. Later, he came out of there and spoke to reporters.

Regarding the fallen dictator Sheikh Hasina, he said, “Sheikh Hasina must be trialed. The court runs according to its own rules of law. She can be trialed quickly.”

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was admitted to the United Hospital after suddenly falling ill on Sunday morning.

Last week, there was a book unveiling ceremony at the Suhrawardy Udyan Book Fair at night. He was feeling unwell due to a lot of dust there. Then, on Sunday, he was admitted to the hospital on the advice of a doctor.
