Italy-based young midfielder Fahamedul Islam has joined Bangladesh national football team’s ongoing conditioning camp in Taif, Saudi Arabia.
The young midfielder joined the team’s condition camp on Tuesday after four days of practice camp. He was in the list of 30 footballers initially called up for the AFC Asian Cup qualifier against India scheduled to be held on March 25 in Shillong, India.
Earlier, the conditioning camp of the national football team started on March 6 last with 28 booters under the supervision of national football team’s Spanish coach Javier Cabrera, excluding Italy-based midfielder Fahamedul Islam and Bangladesh-origin English Premier League player Hamza Chowdhury.
Hamza will join the team in Dhaka on March 18. The Bangladesh team is expected to travel to Shillong with a 23-member final squad on March 20.
Bangladesh’s third round of AFC Asian Cup qualifiers away match against India will be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong. The other two teams in Bangladesh’s group are Singapore and Hong Kong.
