BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has urged all anti-fascist political parties to stand beside the interim government to make its efforts to restore democracy in the country successful.
The interim government is making its best efforts to restore democracy in the country by putting an end to fascist rule, which is a positive sign indeed, he said while addressing a programme in Dhaka on Saturday.
Fakhrul also praised the government in many ways and said that the July mass uprising has opened the door to a collective effort to rebuild the country.
Claiming that the reform agenda is a vast task and it is not possible to make it successful by holding only talks and discussions, he said, “We all will have to change our mindsets to reach our desired goal.”
Biplobi Workers Party organised the programme at the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity on Saturday noon.
