A fancy style stealing incident was taken place at The Daily Sky’s Sirajganj office on Monday.
The thief lifted the smart mobile phone of The Daily Sky editor Golam Mostafa Jibon from his working desk in the guise of a book seller.
According to statement of the editor and CCTV footage, it was come to know that, a man in the guise of a book seller entered into The Daily Sky editor’s office room at around 1.58pm and requested him (editor) to help him (thief) by providing some money or purchasing some books for the children as he (the thief, what he says) is a critical patient of cancer and has been suffering from different other diseases for long. But, he has no money to purchase medicines; he said breaking down in tears.
In the cause of humanity, the editor paid him some money and purchased two books. But, the cleaver thief picked up editor’s mobile phone from his table technically with other books, which scenario was caught in the CCTV footage. After stealing the phone, the man was seen move away rapidly from the spot with a rickshaw. A General Diary (GD) was lodged with Sirajganj Sadar Police Station in this connection, which number is 392, and date 06.05.24.
