Police arrested a father and his son in connection with a case over raping a maid servant in Solongga thana of Sirajganj district on Tuesday.
The arrested are Jamsher Fakir, 65, son of late Jadu Fakir of Chariya Kandapara village under Solongga thana of the district and his son Anarul Islam Mukta Fakir, 35.
Mokhlesur Rahman, Officer in Charge of Solongga Police Station told The Daily Sky that, the 15-year-old girl had been working as maid servant at the house of Jamsher Fakir for around six years. Taking the advantage, the house owner Jamsher and his son used to rape her forcibly almost regularly. At one stage, the girl turns to pregnant of two months.
Victim’s mother filed two separate cases with the Solongga police station in this connection against them.
