A fire in a chemical warehouse at Islambagh in Chawkbazar of the capital has been brought under control.

Fire Service Officer-in-Charge (Media) Shajahan Shikder gave this information at 7 am on Saturday.

He said that the fire was brought under control after 6 am.

Earlier, a fire broke out in a chemical warehouse at Chawkbazar’s Islambagh at around 3:30 pm. 9 units of the fire station worked to control the fire.

However, the fire service could not initially tell anything about the origin of the fire. No casualties were reported in this incident.

According to the fire service, there was a delay in bringing the fire under control due to combustible materials from the plastic and shoe factory in the building.
