Fire at Demra garage, 14 busses gutted

A massive fire has broken out in a bus garage in Demra in the capital. At least 14 busses were gutted in this fire.

The fire broke out at around 8:45 pm on Monday (April 1) at the Dharmikpara in Demra. The fire was brought under control by five units of the Fire Service and Civil Defense after an hour’s effort at around 9:48 pm.

Rashed Din Khalid, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defense, said that the fire service received information at 8:50 pm. Around 14 luxury buses of London Express were gutted.

Rashed Din Khalid also said that two units from Demra Fire Station and later three more units from Siddique Bazar joined the fire control. Five fire service units brought the fire under control at 9:48 pm. 14 buses of London Express were burnt in the fire incident.

Initially, this fire service official cannot give any details about the cause of the fire.
