A fire broke out at Mutual Trust Bank in the capital’s Dholaikhal area this morning.
Shahjahan Sikder, in charge of the media cell at Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters, said, the fire broke out at 10.40 am.
He stated that the fire originated at the bank on the second floor of a four-story building. Four units are working to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
Earlier, a fire broke out in a tin shed house at Karwan Bazar at around 10:30 am. The fire was brought under control around 11:00 am after half an hour of effort of five fire service units.
