All types of passenger and goods-laden vessels on the Teknaf-Saint Martin route have been suspended for the last six days due to inclement weather.

Now, food and fuel crisis hit the Saint Martin as the communication suspended.

Earlier on May 25, authorities suspended vessels operation on the Teknaf-Saint Martin following rough weather.

With the closure of communication for six days, it is not possible to transport daily necessities and food products. As there is no warehouse, these products have to be transported from Teknaf to St. Martin every day.

Residents said that daily essentials, medicines, fuel have been finished. Administration assured to meet the crisis.
