The Adviser to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, Md Nahid Islam has directed to provide free diesel for the generators deployed by mobile operators in Feni district to keep the mobile network towers operational.

He issued this directive to the BTRC Saturday (24 August).

Therefore, he has directed the BTRC to ensure that the necessary diesel for the generators deployed by mobile operators in the district is provided free of charge to keep the 78 mobile network towers operational.

Each hour, portable generators (PG) (75 kVA) consume 2.3 liters of diesel, while generators (DG) (30 kVA) consume 4.4 liters of diesel.

Based on this, 78 generators consume 6,552 liters of diesel per day, amounting to a cost of Tk714,168, and over seven days, they would consume 45,864 liters of diesel, amounting to a cost of Tk4,999,176.

As per the directive of the advisor to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, this cost will be covered by the BTRC fund.
