Bogura Correspondent:

A Fuchka vendor was killed after being hit by a train near Government Azizul Haque College in Bogura on Tuesday (September 2) morning.

The accident occurred around 10:30 am near the new building of the college.

The deceased was Nirab, 30, son of Aziz from Alirhat area in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj district. He used to sell Fuchka in the college area.

According to locals, the Burimari-bound Karatoa Intercity Express, coming from Santahar, hit Nirab while he was on the railway tracks a short distance east of the college’s main gate. He was critically injured and rushed to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Rezaul, sub-inspector (SI) of Bogura Railway Police Outpost, confirmed the news and said the body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy. Legal procedures are underway.
