Actor Tanjin Tisha has responded to the allegations of fraud after an online fashion boutique accused her of taking a saree without promoting it as agreed. The controversy, which surfaced earlier this week, has sparked a storm of discussion across social media.

According to Zhinuk, the owner of the online brand Aponia, the incident dates back to January when Tisha selected a yellow Jamdani saree worth Tk 28,800. Considering the actor’s popularity, Zhinuk offered to gift the saree — on the condition that Tisha would wear it, take photos, and promote the brand on her social media platforms. Tisha reportedly agreed, and the saree was delivered to her home.

However, nearly ten months have passed since then, and Tisha has allegedly failed to post the promised promotion. “She sent me several voice messages assuring me she would get it done soon, but later stopped responding altogether,” Zhinuk told the media. The entrepreneur has now demanded either the saree’s price be paid or legal action will be taken.

Responding to the allegations, Tisha took to social media, writing: “Took a gift and now I’m a fraud? Haha! And if you wanted a proper photoshoot, where’s the payment? Strange businesswoman! My regards to your so-called gift.”

The controversy comes at a time when the actor is busy shooting her first feature film, titled “Soldier”, opposite superstar Shakib Khan and directed by Shakeeb Fahad. Tisha has so far refrained from commenting publicly about the project and has not announced it on her social media accounts.

At a recent award event, however, she hinted at her new career chapter, saying, “I’ve started a new journey. It’s a team effort, so I can’t say much yet. All I ask is for everyone’s prayers so that I can do well in this new phase.”

“Soldier” is described as a patriotic action-drama that tells a story of resilience, struggle, and hope. The cast also includes Tariq Anam Khan, Tauquir Ahmed, and Jannatul Ferdous Oishee. Shooting is currently underway, with plans to release the film later this year.
