The government has canceled appointment of six members of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) who were posted recently after the fall of the Awami League government.
A notification has been issued in this regard on January 13 (Monday).
The six whose appointments were cancelled are: Dr Shahnaz Sarkar, Professor (Grade-1) at Agricultural Botany Department in Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, former additional IGP of Police Md Munir Hossain, Brigadier General (Retd.) AF Jaglul Ahmed, former DG of BIAM Foundation Md Mizanur Rahman, former Secretary at foreign ministry Shabbir Ahmad Chowdhury, and Director of the National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology Professor Syeda Shahina Sobhan.
The notification states that, with the President’s approval, the appointments of the six members have been officially annulled, and the decision is effective immediately.
