The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a directive to all government employees to submit their asset declarations within the next 15 days.
Senior Secretary Md Mokhlesur Rahman of the Ministry of Public Administration announced during a press conference on Monday.
He stated that a standardised form for declaring assets will be developed, with the process expected to be finalised within the next 15 days.
A committee, headed by the Secretary of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), has been formed to oversee the implementation of this directive, he added.
He said, “Every government employee, who receives a salary from the government, will be required to submit their asset declaration. He warned that legal action will be taken against those who fail to comply with this requirement.”
The announcement follows a previous press release from the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday, which instructed all government employees to submit their wealth statement as part of a broader effort to ensure transparency and accountability in public service.
