The government is raising the special incentive rate to up to 15% for its employees from the next fiscal year, says Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain.
In a post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday (June 3), he said officials from grades 10 to 20 will now get 15% of their basic salaries as special incentive. The rate will be 10% for officials of first to ninth grades.
The current incentive rate is 5%.
In his budget speech yesterday (June 2), Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed proposed to increase special benefit for the government employees in the budget of FY2025-26 since no pay scale has been declared after 2015.
