BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that government institutions including the judiciary, law enforcement agencies, and the Election Commission are not yet fully functional.

He said these things after Namaz e Janaza of BNP chairperson’s advisor Dr. Shahida Rafiq in front of the party’s central office in Nayapaltan on Monday.

Regarding the elections, Rizvi said, “The people now want elections. Everyone is urged to hold elections quickly. At the same time, I urge everyone to ensure an environment for elections.”

Rizvi also said, “The commissions formed for reforms must be implemented quickly. The people of the country have participated in various programs at the risk of their lives to ensure true democracy.”
