The government has published another list of 118 martyred intellectuals, who were killed by Pakistani forces and their collaborators during 1971, in the fourth phase.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque announced the list at a press conference at the ministry’s conference room on Sunday.

With the newly announced names, the government has so far recognized a total of 560 individuals as martyred intellectuals.

Earlier, on 7 April 2021, the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs published the names of 191 martyred intellectuals through a gazette notification. Later, on May 29, 2022, 143 other names were included in

the list. In the third phase, 108 individuals were recognized as martyred intellectuals on February 15 this year.
