The government has started selling milk, eggs and meat at affordable price in the district marking the holy month of Ramadan.
Fisheries and Livestock Ministry has started truck sale of the above items at two places – Kazipur intersection and in front of Sadar Upazila Livestock Office with the assistance of National Development Programme.
District Livestock officer AKM Anowarul Haque inaugurated the month-long activities in front of District Livestock Office.
Additional Livestock officer Md Abdur Razzak and Sadar Upazila Livestock officer Md Alamgir Hossain, among others, were present.
As part of the programme, per kg beef will be sold at Taka 680, milk per liter at Taka 70, Egg per piece at Taka 9 and Matha or Ghol per liter at Taka 90.
