A major reshuffle is coming at the top level of the Bangladesh government’s administration. Sources said that the Ministry of Public Administration may issue a gazette soon.

According to sources, Nasimul Gani, Senior Secretary of the Public Affairs Division of the President’s Office, is moving to the Home Ministry. The post fell vacant after Senior Secretary of Home Affairs Dr Mohammad Momen was appointed Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission.

Meanwhile, ASM Saleh Ahmed, Senior Secretary of the Land Ministry, is being transferred to the Ministry of Public Administration.

Dr. Mokhles Ur Rahman, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, is being made the Alternate Executive Director of the World Bank. Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman, a member of the Planning Commission and Secretary General of the Administered Services Association, may become the Secretary of the Ministry of Land.

Sources said that the Ministry of Public Administration may soon issue a gazette in this regard.

Besides, Shamsul Alam, an officer of the 11th batch of BCS, may be made the senior secretary of the local government department. However, it would not be surprising if Nazrul Islam, an officer of the same batch who is currently in charge, is appointed to the post.

Besides, Farid Uddin from the same batch may also be made secretary of an important ministry.
