Leicester City F.C. fell short against Hull City in the Championship, suffering a 2-1 defeat at the MKM Stadium despite a solid defensive performance from Hamza Choudhury. Starting as a captain and right-back, Hamza played 77 minutes before being substituted by Julián Carranza.
During his time on the pitch, Hamza stood out defensively, winning three tackles, making three clearances, and registering three recoveries. He also proved dominant in duels, winning five on the ground and one aerial duel. In terms of distribution, the Leicester full-back was highly efficient, completing 94%(47/50) of his passes and achieving 90%(27/30) accuracy in passes made within the opposition half.
However, while Hamza was effective defensively, his attacking contribution remained limited, as he could not provide any goals or assists. Despite his disciplined display at the back, Leicester could not capitalize and ultimately fell to Hull City’s pressure.
Leicester City F.C. is now eighth in the standings and will look to bounce back in their next Championship fixture against Millwall on 25 October.
