Mamunur Rahman, Pabna:

Police recovered the hanging body of a housewife from Diar Baghail village in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna district early yesterday. Centering the incident, police also arrested her husband from the house.

The deceased is Sharmin Akhter Lima, 25, wife of Ashikur Rahman Shawon of the village.

The arrested Shawon is son of late Adam Ali Mandal of the neighboring Joynagor village in the upazila.

Victim’s family sources claimed that, Lima got married off with Shawon about three years ago. They have a three years old girl.

Victim’s husband Shawon claimed that, she committed suicide by hanging herself with the ceiling fan in their room, while her brother Razon Ali claimed that she was killed by Shawon centering family feud over his ultra-marital affair with another woman.

Being informed by locals and relatives of the victim, police reached to the spot and recovered the body. Later it was sent to hospital morgue for autopsy. Investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
