Actor Hasan Masood will remain under medical observation for over a week, confirmed his wife, Sanjida Shimul. The actor was admitted to a private hospital in Mohakhali on Monday (October 27) night after suffering from severe headaches and seizures. He was later transferred to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.
Currently undergoing treatment at CMH, Sanjida Shimul told journalists “His condition has slightly improved. We have been in regular contact with the doctors since Tuesday. They said it was not exactly a stroke, but some complications were found in the blood and a few other areas. Treatments for those issues are ongoing.”
When asked about his discharge, she added, “He is not in a condition to return home yet. The doctors have not allowed it. He will need to stay under observation for seven to eight days before a decision can be made about his return.”
Hospital sources earlier informed that Hasan Masud had been admitted with severe headaches and seizures. On Tuesday, Dr Ashish Kumar Chakraborty, Managing Director of Universal Medical College Hospital, told journalists “Actor Hasan Masood suffered an ischemic stroke and a mild heart attack. He is currently under the care of neurologists, cardiologists, and critical care specialists.”
Once a popular face on television dramas, Hasan Masood also worked in several films. In recent years, however, he has largely withdrawn from the entertainment scene. He recently resumed shooting for the drama series “Tel Chhara Porota”.
