UNB, Dinajpur:
A case was filed against 59 people including former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and former Whip Iqbalur Rahim on charge of attempting to kill a student by shooting during the anti-government movement on August 4 in Dinajpur.
Victim Fahim Faisal, 22, son of ABM Siddiq of Rajbati area under Sadar upazila, filed the case with Kotwali police station on Friday.
The police station’s Officer-in-Charge Farid Hossain said Fahim sustained bullet injuries during a clash in front of Sadar General Hospital in Munshipara area on August 4.
In the case, Sheikh Hasina and former local lawmaker Iqbalur Rahman were made the first and second accused respectively, he said.
Moreover, fifty-seven others were named in the case and several others were unnamed, said the OC.
Since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, the former whip has so far been accused in the four cases.
