Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport closed

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), the country’s major airport, has been temporarily closed due to the worsening situation following the step down of Sheikh Hasina from her post.

Executive Director of the HSIA Group Captain Kamrul Islam confirmed the closure to media on Monday.

The HSIA authorities said they will update the situation further.
