A husband and wife and their daughter were killed in their home in Tarash Upazila of Sirajganj. Their bodies were recovered from their house in Barwari Battala Mohalla of Sadar on Monday night. Three of them were killed by hacking and slitting their throats.

The deceased are Bikash Sarkar (45), his wife Swarna Rani Sarkar (40) and daughter Parmita Sarkar Tushi (15), a class 10 student of Tarash Government Girls High School, of Kalicharan Sarkar of Tarash Municipal area.

According to the police and witnesses, the killers planned to kill them secretly and locked them in the flat. Earlier, the relatives informed the police after not finding them for two days. Later on Monday around 3 am, the police broke the lock and found their bodies on the floor and on the bed. As of this writing, the police have surrounded the house.

Tarash Police Station OC (Investigation) Md. Noor Alam said that the relatives of the deceased said that they tried to contact them on mobile phone after not being able to find them for the last two days. Then they reported the matter to the police.

He also said that the relatives went to the house and found the lock hanging from outside and informed the police. The police broke the lock and found them in the house, they had been hacked and their throats cut. Police is preparing a case in this regard.
