Sadia Islam Mou, one of the country’s most celebrated models, continues to shine equally as a model and dancer even after more than three decades in the spotlight. For 36 years, many have regarded her as the top female model, though Mou humbly dismisses the title. “Many have done very well after me. However, I am grateful that the new generation still remembers my name,” she said.

In her first-ever podcast appearance, Mou shared untold stories of her journey. She recalled the warmth and camaraderie of the 1990s modeling circle, a bond that still exists today. She spoke fondly of her long-standing friendship with actor-model Nobel. “Nobel is my friend. He has always protected me. From the beginning, there was mutual respect between us, and perhaps that’s why our on-screen chemistry resonates so well,” Mou explained.

Marking 30 years in acting, Mou admitted that it wasn’t her initial calling. “At first, I didn’t want to act. Even after my first drama aired, my friends said, ‘Don’t act with this voice anymore.’ I must admit, I never gave acting as much time as I did to modeling and dancing,” she said.

She also reminisced about traveling to Mumbai for an advertisement, sharing a horse-drawn carriage with actors Shomi Kaiser, Bipasha Hayat, and Afsana Mimi. “They were superstars of that time. I felt like I was nothing compared to them,” Mou recalled.

The podcast, “Behind the Fame with RRK,” hosted by Rumman Rashid Khan, will air tomorrow at 9:00pm on Maasranga Television and Radio Din Raat 93.6 FM.
