Entertainment Desk:
Popular actor Azmeri Haque Badhan has said that she “failed” because she could not become the person everyone wanted her to be. The artiste shared her reflections in a heartfelt post on social media.
In the post, Badhan wrote, “I wanted to be the kind of girl who is led by everyone — the one who obeys, pleases, quietly fits in. But I failed. I failed to become the person everyone wanted me to be. I tried. I really did. I tried to be the daughter my family wanted, the woman society expected. But I failed — and I thank myself for that.”
Reflecting on what she described as her “failure,” Badhan explained that it was, in fact, an act of self-liberation. “Because I was never meant to live by anyone else’s script. My words make people uneasy. My actions don’t fit their comfort zone. I know I’m not easy to deal with — but I am not cruel. I don’t hurt or disrespect people, even when they do it to me.”
Now approaching her 42nd birthday at the end of this month, Badhan appears to have found peace and confidence in her own identity. “After 40, I’ve made peace with myself,” she wrote. “I live my life on my terms — freely, honestly, unapologetically. If that offends someone, they can ignore me, block me, hate me. I truly don’t care. Because for every person I make uncomfortable, there are others who love me, who understand me, who find strength in my truth. And most importantly —I love myself.”
Concluding her post, Badhan left a powerful message of self-acceptance and strength: “I’m not broken. I’m simply uncomfortable for a world that fears real women. I love you, Azmeri Haque Badhan — the woman you finally chose to be.”
